Chargé d'affaires a.i. at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Germany, Rahat Bin Zaman called on Ambassador Shaan today. Discussions focused on exploring avenues for stronger partnerships and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Ambassador Shaan held a productive virtual meeting with the Honorary Consuls of Maldives in Germany, Christian von Stetten, Andreas Witte and Dr Joachim Baron. Discussions focused on intensifying collective efforts to seek investments for the Maldives, in line with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's vision.

Ambassador Shaan delivered the keynote speech at the ‘Island Insights: Exploring Climate, Culture and Community’ dialogue by Circle U and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Addressing an audience of academics and experts, she highlighted Maldives' perspective and priorities on climate change. Ambassador Shaan further reflected on Maldives' advocacy efforts as a champion of SIDS and noted the many milestones achieved throughout the years. She also expressed hope for stronger and meaningful climate action from the international community to overcome the shared challenges.
