Ambassador Shaan attended the 8th GEFA Ambassadors' Round Table at the International Club of Federal Foreign Office. This year’s event brought together senior officials from the German Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, German Export Association for Food and Agriproducts (GEFA), German Agricultural Society and stakeholders from the industry for an interactive discussion on international cooperation projects in the agricultural and food sector.

Ambassador Shaan participated in the ‘Ambassadors in Dialogue’ hosted by German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV) in association with the Economic Development and Technology Transfer Corporation of Schleswig-Holstein (WTSH). At the dialogue, Ambassadors engaged in productive discussions with the political leadership and companies to gain insights into the economic and cultural landscape of the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein.

Ambassador Shaan participated at a dialogue focused on violence against women, organized by Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in Bundestag, Gabriela Heinrich, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Bärbel Kofler, MdB, Development Policy Spokesperson of the PG, Sanae Abdi and Deputy Foreign Policy Spokesperson of PG, Michelle Müntefering. Speaking at the dialogue, Ambassador Shaan stressed on the need to revitalize commitments to prevent violence against women and girls, while reflecting on the measures in place in the Maldives.
