Ambassador Shaan participated at a dialogue focused on violence against women, organized by Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in Bundestag, Gabriela Heinrich, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Bärbel Kofler, MdB, Development Policy Spokesperson of the PG, Sanae Abdi and Deputy Foreign Policy Spokesperson of PG, Michelle Müntefering. Speaking at the dialogue, Ambassador Shaan stressed on the need to revitalize commitments to prevent violence against women and girls, while reflecting on the measures in place in the Maldives.

Ambassador Shaan and team attended the opening ceremony of Asia-Berlin Summit 2024. This flagship annual event, under the theme ‘Connecting Startup Ecosystems for Intelligent Transformation’ is a great opportunity for startup networks to connect between Asia and Berlin.

Ambassador Shaan and the Embassy staff interacted with the Maldivian community residing in Berlin, today. During the social gathering hosted at the Embassy, Ambassador Shaan assured that Maldivians will continue to receive full support and assistance from the Embassy.
