Maldivians intending to visit Germany require a prior visa. General information regarding visa application is available on the website of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Colombo.

Since March 2020, Maldivian citizens traveling to Germany can submit their Schengen visa applications at the VFS Visa Application Center in Malé, located at H. Beach Tower 1st floor, Boduthakurufaanu Magu, Malé, Maldives. The detailed visa application and appointment booking procedures are available on the website of the VFS Visa Application Center.

To book an appointment, residents can contact the Malé Visa Application Center at +960 7386555. The center operates on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 08:00 - 14:00 for application submissions and 08:00 - 16:00 for passport collection.
