Minister of Tourism and Environment, Thoriq Ibrahim participated in the High-Level Breakfast Meeting organised by the German Centre for Climate Mobility and Robert Bosch Stiftung Foundation during the Berlin Climate Mobility Forum. Minister Thoriq engaged with Heads of State and Ministers, and industry leaders in discussions to enhance climate resilience and priorities for small island developing states such as Maldives.
At the Berlin Climate Mobility Forum, the Minister delivered remarks, highlighting the Maldives’ climate leadership and the urgent need for shared global responsibility on mobility and resilience. Ambassador Shaan attended the high-level opening session and the panel discussions at the first day of the forum.
This new convening was organized by the Global Centre for Climate Mobility and the Robert Bosch Stiftung brought representatives from climate vulnerable countries for discussions specifically focused on mobility, followed by the recent UN Ocean Conference in Nice, France.
