Ambassador Shaan had productive interactions at the first day of the inaugural 'Berlin Insights' by the German Foreign Office, aimed at deepening insights into Germany's political system, foreign policy, economy & culture, & creating space for networking with important German institutions.
At the second day of ‘Berlin Insights’ Ambassadors visits Federal Chancellery and Federal Intelligence Agency. Exchanges focused on the agencies’ respective portfolios and recent geopolitical developments.
At the third day of ‘Berlin Insights’ Ambassadors visited Bertelsmann Stiftung for an interactive dialogue. This was followed by discussions with senior officials from The German Foreign Office and The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development on economy, climate and gender, with a focus on climate diplomacy and geoeconomics.
At the fourth day of ‘Berlin Insights’ Ambassadors visited the Office of the Federal President of Germany, followed by a discussion with the Head of the Division for Foreign Affairs, Wolfgang Silbermann.
At the fifth and final day of ‘Berlin Insights’, Ambassadors visited the Bavarian Representation in Berlin and had a talk with the Head of Protocol, Dr Marco Lorenz. This was followed by a closing ceremony at Federal Foreign Office. During the closing ceremony, Ambassador Shaan thanked the Federal Government and the Federal Foreign Office for the opportunity to engage with key institutions and expressed hope for continuation of this successful new initiative.
